About the Author
John Matthew Fox is a fiction and nonfiction writer living in Los Angeles. He has an MPW (Master of Professional Writing) degree from the University of Southern California and an MA in literary theory from New York University. Aside from schooling, he's also been educated by the road, traveling through more than 35 countries on 6 continents in the past decade.
He launched BookFox in May 2006 with a focus on literary news and a special emphasis on short stories, then started conducting interviews with authors in early 2007. As the Managing Editor for the literary journal Southern California Review, he happily reads thousands of submissions and coordinates the journal's production. He has taught five types of writing courses at three institutions, including USC, Glendale Community College, and The Master's College. Publication credits include book reviews for Rain Taxi Review of Books, California Literary Review, The Short Review, The Quarterly Conversation, Red Fence Magazine, and others.
